My Knitting Routine- How I get things finished.

Are you a scheduled type of knitter or crocheter or do you cast on projects without abandon? It doesn't matter what type of crafter you are (in a global sense) until it matters to YOU. So when you're starting to feel like your WIP pile might merge into a yarn monster and eat your family [...]

Intimidated by BRIOCHE??? Don’t be! Can you do a yarn over? Can you knit or purl two together? Then you can brioche 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today on my YouTube Channel I have a Basic Brioche Stitches video ready to help you conquer brioche. {Link in bio.} I promise it’s not as hard as it looks! Have you knit brioche before? I’m wondering if there’s a crochet equivalent? Maybe in Tunisian? PATTERN | Coming in January ☺️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ YARN | @chileknitz 💕 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #brioche #briocheknitting #tutorialtuesday #chileknitz #shawlknitting #shawlknitter
Today... right?! 👀👀 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I know, I know. Y’all are sick of this sweater. You even voted for me to finish it instead of working on a new design 🤣🤣🤣 But HALLELUJAH it is nearly done and it’s going to feel amazing to have a sweater off the needles. {Not nearly as amazing as this mohair feels though!} ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Isn’t it funny how completing a project gives us such a sense of accomplishment? Even in season where we feel like we’re getting NOTHING accomplished, work is crazy, families are messy, anxiety is high. Yet, each stitch satisfies that little part of us that needs order and finality. I’m grateful for knitting to be that constant for me. #knittingistherapy
December socks are on the go! This is a sock blank I dyed with Kool-aid and sprinkles. It’s appropriately named “Santa Fell on the Elves” 🤣 It’s knitting up so nicely! Who’s watching football this weekend?? We’re excited for championship games all weekend!
Hey! It’s Thursday and I’m brain dead lol. Caption this and maybe I’ll give out some free patterns to the funniest ones?? ☺️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Enjoy Episode 43! Eep- I’m getting close to 50 podcasts and a year of podcasting- woah!
Umm... would someone like to come finish this for me??? 🤣 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Okay OBVIOUSLY I’m going to finish it myself. 🙈 I’m 2/3 of a sleeve away from a completed sweater and I just can’t get motivated. I did mess up the stitch count on my other wip which makes the sweater a more appealing project now. I guess it’s the yarny gods telling me to get 👏🏽 it 👏🏽 done! About how long does a #wip have to linger for you to lose interest? Lately with anything that takes more than 2 months I seem to lose steam. #wywip #likeacloudcardigan #likeacloud #jojilocatelli #sweaterknitter #sweaterknitting #wipwednesday #wipitgood #knittynatty #createeveryday #makerlife #makerstrong #memadeeveryday #handmadeisbetter #yarnismylovelanguage #stitchandhustle #craftastherapy #ourmakerlife #alwaysyarning #craftsposure #mohair #wipitgood #knitterofinstagram
This set of cozies is a Christmas gift for a Dallas Cowboys lover! 🏈 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My testers for the #classiccancozy are hard at work making this a super clear pattern. The release date is set for December 13th- so you will still have time to squeeze in one or two before Christmas. I have a new tutorial up today for the Stretchy I-Cord Bind Off that finishes off these cozies! So tell me... what’s your favorite bubbly beverage? 🥤 I used to be a diehard Coke drinker, but Texas has changed me into a Dr. Pepper girl 🤷🏼‍♀️
