Long Summer Cardigan Mini-MAL

Join Natalie for a 5-week class and mini-make-along of Joji Locatelli’s Long Summer Cardigan. The class is paced to help motivate you to work on the sweater. Our goal isn’t to finish by the end of our time together (though I believe a lot of you will!) but to encourage each other and learn lots of tips along the way!

Note: The Long Summer Cardigan pattern is NOT included as part of the make-along. Please purchase a copy of the pattern on Ravelry here.

Class Outline

Each meetup will begin with 10-15 minutes of instruction from Natalie. The remainder of the hour will be open for questions and chat! The lesson portion will be recorded and sent out after class.

Meeting 1: August 16th @ 1 PM ET

• Goal: create, wash, and block swatch
• Hot Tip: w&t short rows

Meeting 2: August 23rd @ 1 PM ET

• Goal: complete the back, up to “Right Front”
• Hot Tip: picking up the fronts, tracking neckline and armhole increases

Meeting 3: August 30th @ 1 PM ET

• Goal: work right and left front, up to “Join Body”
• Hot Tip: joining the body, alternating hand-dyed yarns

Meeting 4: September 6th (Labor Day) @ 1 PM ET

• Goal: stay motivated to work on the body
• Hot Tip: picking up sleeve stitches

Meeting 5: September 20th @ 1 PM ET

• Goal: still staying motivated on the body… big stretchy goal to finish the body 🥴
• Hot Tip: stretchy bind offs for the band
